Gearing Up for NovNov

What is Novel November (NovNov) you might ask? Novel November (NovNov) is a creative writing event that helps you write a 50,000-word manuscript in a single month. It starts at 0:00 (local time) on November 1st, 2025, and ends at 23:59 (local time) on November 30th, 2025.

ProWritingAid has taken it over from National Novel Writing Month’ (NaNoWriMo). Unfortunately, NaNoWriMo shut down in March of this year. It was a nonprofit group that promoted writing, whether you were a professional writer, or just starting out.

I am going to try this out. Maybe I will complete the novel that has been playing in my head by the end of it, or maybe I will just get a really good start on it by the end of the month. Either way I think this will be a great motivator to actually get some good work done.

Toward this end, I have decided to work with the Novel Factory software, melding it into NovNov. I have also joined Dabble U for some connection and guidance.

Between ProWritingAid and Dabble-U for facilitation, inspiration, and tutelage, it should work pretty well. I have Novel Factory as a tool that I can use anywhere, as well as its inherent guidance to help keep me on the right track.

Big dream, big work, hopefully big results.
